INTERNAL REGULATION OF INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING BELGIUM

 

By registering for our courses, you accept these rules and regulations. The swimmer and, if applicable, his legal representatives accept:

 

1 - Registration procedure

Registration is done by internet using our MyISB platform. After receiving your registration request, you will be placed on our waiting list.

If places are available, you will be contacted to come and take a level test. Registration is only valid and final if the swimmer has passed a level test and if the full payment of the applicable fee has been made. If not, the registration is pending and the swimmer will not be able to access our courses.

The subscription is half-yearly from September to January and from February to June.

It is possible to register during the year, depending on the places available and the level of the swimmer.

 

2 - Terms of payment

The total fee is to be paid at the time you are invited to do so.

When re-registering, for our members registered in the courses, the total fee must be paid in advance on the dates of the re-registration days proposed by e-mail.

If payment is not made by the proposed re-registration date, the place will not be reserved and will be released to the waiting list.

We do not accept deposits.

 

3 - Refund policy

If a swimmer is absent, it is not necessary to inform the secretariat. However, missed lessons are neither reimbursed nor replaced.

No refunds will be given for any break in the semester or season for any reason whatsoever.

However, in case of absence justified by a medical certificate for a period of more than two months, a personal and non-transferable discount (equivalent to your period of absence) will be granted on a future registration.

No refunds will be made.

 

4 - Responsibilities - damages

The club declines all responsibility in case of loss, theft or accident. The swimmer undertakes to take out personal insurance covering the risk of accident. (Family civil liability)

The club cannot be held responsible for anything before or after training, even within the premises.

The members are under the pedagogical responsibility of the instructor from the beginning to the end of the course, and in no case for the time before or after the activity.

The swimmer and, where applicable, his/her legal representatives accept :

  • that any responsibility of the Club or of an instructor can only be called into question by registered letter sent to the Club within a maximum period of 3 months from the date of the incriminating event,
  • that the possible damage to be borne by the Club or the instructor will be limited to the insurance indemnities which will be effectively received by the Club or the Instructor and
  • that the French-speaking courts and tribunals of the judicial district of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.


5 - Schedules

The swimming club of Internation Swimming Belgium ASBL, as a tenant of the pools or installations put at its disposal, cannot be held responsible for any changes in the schedule or any closure by the renters.

You will receive your timetable according to your level when you register, the swimmer must be ready in the changing room 5 minutes before the start of the lesson. The instructor will collect the swimmers from the changing room.

 

6 - Safety

  • For educational and safety reasons, we cannot accept children who are not registered for our courses in the pool.
  • Outside of lesson times, the swimmer is no longer under the responsibility of the instructor or the club but of himself or his legal representatives (parents).
  • Parents are not allowed to be at the poolside to avoid disturbances in the lessons.
  • The swimmer must respect the safety measures, i.e. no jumping, no running on the edge of the pool, no violent games, no crossing the pool. In the event of an accident due to non-compliance with safety measures, the club or the instructor cannot be held responsible.
  • No untimely noise during the lessons, to let the instructors work in good conditions. The instructors reserve the right to exclude a child in the event of non-compliance with safety rules or the rules of the Longchamp swimming pool.
  • All swimmers are subject to the internal rules of the Longchamp pool and undertake to respect them.


7 - Instructor

The instructor is not guaranteed. A change may occur during the year.

 

8 - Clothing

  • Swimwear + towel
  • Cap is mandatory
  • Goggles are not allowed (any swimmer wearing goggles will not be admitted to the course, even if they have a medical certificate)
  • All accessories such as buoys, armbands, boards,... are useless and forbidden
  • Jewellery/watches or other objects must be removed before the lesson to avoid injury or breakage


9 - Cloakroom

Swimmers have at their disposal collective changing rooms which are accessible 10 minutes before the start of the lesson and must be vacated 10 minutes after the end of the lesson.

No personal belongings should be left in the changing rooms; each swimmer should put his or her belongings in a bag to free up space and avoid forgetting them.

It is required to behave in a dignified manner, no shouting, no games, no inappropriate gestures, this is also valid outside the pool before and after the lessons. Any breach of the basic rules of morality will be reported to the parents and severely punished.

 

10 - Hygiene

  • Please make sure you come to the pool clean
  • A foot shower and a full shower are compulsory for everyone before entering the pool and after each visit to the toilet.
  • Blow your nose before entering the water
  • Accompany young swimmers to the toilet
  • No chewing gum or sweets in the mouth or in the pool
  • Do not use the pool if you have fungus, mollusc or warts or any other contagious disease


11 - Certificates

All requests for certificates of any kind should be made by email to secy.lsc@gmail.com

The request will be completed and returned by email as soon as possible.

 

12 - Photographs

During the activities, photos of the children may be taken and eventually used in our communication media. By registering for one of the courses, you agree to the publication of these photos. If you do not agree, please inform us as soon as possible at secy.isb@gmail.com

Parents are not allowed to take photos and videos of swimmers in the water.

 

13 - Data processing

Your personal data will be used for the sole purpose of meeting the needs of the ASBL's activities.

This data will also be used to send you our newsletter. However, you can always refuse to receive it by clicking on the link to this effect at the end of the newsletter.

This data will not be passed on to third parties without your consent.

 

14 - Miscellaneous

Any particular case not provided for in these rules will be submitted to the exclusive decision of the Board of Directors, which will give a final and unappealable ruling.
